How's this look for Halloween?
Kacie: This set back has been very discouraging for Kacie and for her family. The seizure activity and bleeds from Saturday have left her in an exhausted condition. She is still having headaches and more nausea from Saturday's trauma. Her kidney functions have also gone backwards. She is on the same hours of dialysis, but they have increased the solution to pull off more toxins from her body. She's had another EEG and renal ultra sound. As for her blood work, her BUN was 31, but the creatinine is back up to 8.6, the platelets were 168.

It has been good to have Rosie and her children here. (They actually came to be part of the homecoming celebration). Children have a way of calming Kacie when none of the rest of us can.
Thank you so much for your constant prayers and messages of love and concern. What would we ever do without family and friends? We are prayerfully pleading that Kacie's kidneys can heal and regain there normal function and that the PRES will subside quickly. In the midst of our pleadings we are thankful that Brady is doing so well, that Brandon, too, is cared for, and that you are in our lives.
Brady: We just thought you'd like to know that Brady's blood work yesterday was within completely normal ranges. Also, Dr. Curnow looked at the dialysis tubing site and said that it looked great and that Brady could bathe. He said, "Let's put this behind us and pretend it never happened". Tomorrow he meets with the nephrologist. We hope the report is just as positive.

Wonderful news on Brady! So glad Rosie and family are helping out! Even as discouraging as it gets, remember that Heavenly Father wouldn't ask you to go through more than you can handle so just keep trying to be strong and asking him to help you handle it in as good a way as possible. Did you get to see Tara's baby? on herblog? Sending our love, Aunt Barbara & Tara's family
So grateful for the news about Brady! I'm excited to bring him over to the hospital today (I've got the "Cars" movie loaded in the DVD player...I had to have the girls give me a quick lesson on how to use it, though!)
I hope Kacie is feeling better today and will be up to a visit and maybe a game of Yahtzee (I'm pretty good at it, but I think she might beat me anyhow!)
If you need anything else before I get there, just give me a call.
Love, Tami
