Sept. 21 (Sunday)

Quick update on Kacie's blood work. Her BUN was 46 and the creatinine 6.8. Her platelet count has dropped to 83. Dr. Chang said she's not concerned about the number unless it gets to 50 and below. She has ordered a yeast test to make sure she's not struggling with that, and Dr. Jansen is going to change one of her blood pressure medicines. They are just trying to figure out why her platelets continue to drop. She has already peed 350 cc this morning, and the color is looking more normal every day. She's looking forward to another pass to get out of the hospital this afternoon.

Stacey Talbot came with her three children: Taylor, Ryan, and Lyndsay. We left for the Ronald McDonald House around 4:30. When we got there, Kacie found two new "Build a Bears" in the room waiting for her. We don't even know who left them. We think that one was for Brady and the other one's for Kacie. The kids all played together in the backyard and then Grandma Sue got Papa Murphy Pizza, tossed salad, and fruit salad. What a wonderful gift the RM Home is! When we got back to the hospital, Kacie said, "That was really fun tonight." We sure appreciate the opportunity to break up our day in such fun ways.

BRADY spent the day at home with Mom, Dad, and Brandon. Tammy said that he seems to really enjoy being home. We have hopes that by next Sunday they will all be together at last.

Grandma Joan came to our house for supper tonight with Becky & Mohammed and Weston's and Stoney's families. She told us how cute Brady was when he got to go home.We sure hope they figure out what's creating Kacie's number problems soon so she can go home, too. The photos are so fun to see! I can just imagine all the giggling going on. Lot's of love, Aunt Barbara
