The doctor was very encouraged with Kacie's blood work today. The pancreas counts are closer to normal. There is still some concern for her kidneys, but the doctor felt good enough to allow Kacie the opportunity to plan an hour away from the hospital. She had to call him and tell him her plans and then get his permission. It was cute to watch her process this first opportunity to be out in the fresh air. She choose to eat "Olive Garden" macaroni & cheese, salad, & bread sticks. We ordered out and then ate at the Julia Davis Park. Her cousins, Brooke, Brittany, & Kim went with us. Grandma Sue stayed with Brady while we got out.
Kacie also had Mallory and Madi come to see her. They played a very competitive game of Yahtzee. Guess who won? You are right. It was Kacie! It was fun to listen to them laugh while they played. I got permission to post their picture on this blog.

To say we were shocked to get the phone call about Brady when we were almost at the hospital to check in on Kacie would be an understatement, for sure! We are glad to hear today's news, however, as it sounds like both of the kids will eventually come out of it...it's just a matter of when. Just know that everyone is still praying for you and that we all miss your sweet bunch! We hope Kacie didn't get sick after her first outdoor "get-away".

While watching Brandon pass the sacrament yesterday, we couldn't help but say a special prayer for your family.
