Yesterday was a good day for Kacie. The doctor felt that he had finally found something to help with her nausea. She had a fairly good night last night, but today has been rough. Her blood work is tweaked because of the increased dialysis and so until the dialysis is back to where we were before the cerebral bleeds last Saturday we probably won't even get to concerned about following that. She has had a temperature today over 102 and so now the focus is on getting her fever down and keeping her from vomiting. All in all she is pretty exhausted today. On a positive note her hands are gaining more and more coordination so we are hopeful that the bleeds are under control. She remains on IV drip to control her blood pressure. As you can imagine she is rather sick of seeing the inside walls of the hospital. We will all be glad when she can be out and about again.
We've had some wonderful visits and phone calls from great friends and family today. Thank you for coming, calling, and caring. Each act of kindness cushions us and sustains us. Rosie is helping out with the boys at home and Grandma Sue is staying with Kacie while Scott and I go out tonight. We are having dinner paid for by your generosity. All we can simply say is, "Thank you!"
Today is Grandma Joan's birthday! So we'd like to wish her a very happy birthday and tell her thank you, too, for all she's done to help us through this difficult time. She remains steadfast in her service to our family. We love you Grandma.

Sure hope you got to listen to Conference. Elder U. spoke of Hope that keeps us going through trials. Hope comes from FAITH. Several speakers spoke on being sure that Heavenly Father knows whats best for us even though we get frustrated and we have to trust that He is watching over us (and your Drs.). Faith in this idea is what helps us hold on when we get discouraged. One speaker spoke about angels in heaven and on earth that help us....you've certainly seen lots of earthly angels working on your behalf. Such wonderful people! Love, Aunt Barbara
