Transplantation 101

I thought I would see how much of our training from yesterday I could remember.

Things Kacie has to do:

-Drink four 16oz bottles of water daily.
-Weigh herself each morning.
Any 2 lb variation daily or 4 lbs in a week has to be called in.
-Take blood pressure morning and night prior to medications.
-Take temperature daily. Anything over 100 has to be called in.
-For 4-6 weeks Kacie has to wear a mask when in public.
-Any exposure to chicken pox has to be called in immediately.
-If she ever vomits or has diarrhea more than twice a day, that has to be called in.
-The first two weeks we have to get her up at night to go the bathroom. They don't want her bladder to get to full until the incision heals completely.
-She can't ever have Advil or NyQuil or grapefruit, starfruit or mandarin oranges.
-She has to always have sunscreen on when outside.
-She is not to be around secondhand smoke and was threatened by the nurse to never smoke or do drugs.
-Kacie will need a kidney guard to wear when participating in sports.
-We had to order Kacie a medical alert bracelet.

Whew, that's a lot to remember. Glad you've documented this, because if we lose the list we can just go to her blog, lol.
