Dr. Jenkins flew in today to see how Kacie was doing. He was disappointed that she wasn't peeing more. He said it looked like her kidneys had a down swing where her blood counts and platelets dipped but they are up now so he hopes for more urine output soon. The good news is that her pancreas improved more than he expected so he is thinking that she should be able to start on clear liquids and eating sooner. He is going to change her dialysis to 18 hours a day so hopefully we can get her walking more and even out of the room some. He is thinking at least another week from today of dialysis.
We got Kacie up in the chair and did some more PT. The OT had her shooting baskets with wads of paper in the trash can. Kacie then enjoyed a WHOLE banana flavored popsicle and some water but it only lasted about 15 min. I think she had a little too much too soon.
Brandon came over and hung out with us! That was really nice to see him!
Dad and Rosie, Kyle and Mckinley came over also! They played "whoonu" with her while we went and got some dinner!

Tammy, I just want you to know that you are always in our hearts. Thank you for keeping us informed on Kacie's progress. We just pray that you know how much Dad and I love you and admire you for the beautiful mother you are. Please give Kacie a hug for me. It feels weird not being with you both today.
